Getting a Property Survey in Clifden, Co. Galway

Clifden, Co. Galway, the capital of Connemara! It is 77km to the West of Galway city and is a beautiful place in Ireland to live! It sits on the Owenglin River that flows into Clifden Bay. The main streets are colourful and have many traditional music pubs, cafés, craft shops and art galleries. It is a major town along the Wild Atlantic Way.

If you are buying a second-hand home in Clifden, Co. Galway or any area of Connemara, you have probably been asked by your Solicitor to get an Engineer to undertake a Structural Survey report. These are also referred to as a pre-purchase report, house survey or building inspection report.

It can be difficult to decipher which company to use, as there are many. All offer varying degrees of service, but how do you make sure that you are hiring the right Engineer?

Whilst many of these will make booking easy and offer “fast turnaround times”, you have no guarantee as to who you will get to survey your property, or indeed their qualifications or experience.
